The latest Xiaomi Note 2 release is expected to make quite an impression on the market, as this new phablet has many high-quality specs.
The fans, competition, and analysts have long waited for the October 25th event. Besides the other leaks and rumors, the Mi Note 2 will have a curved display similar with the one in Galaxy S7 Edge.
Mi Note 2 Specifications
The Mi branding will appear in the phone’s top left corner on the front side. The place of the inscription has been retained after being first used in the Xiaomi Mi 5 model which has been announced this year as well.
Besides the curved display, this model will have a fingerprint scanner instead of a physical home key for added security. This scanner will be located right below the updated display, and it appears to be bigger compared to the one used in the Xiaomi Mi 5. With this change, the company aims to improve user-experience.
Furthermore, the fingerprint scanner will most likely be covered with a ceramic layer to prevent scratches. The other buttons such as the lock/power and volume are situated on the standard right-hand side of the Mi Note 2.
This smartphone will also feature a dual-LED flash camera of at least 13MP. Some analysts claimed that the model would have two camera sensors on the back, but it seems that the Mi Note 2 will take the traditional approach regarding photo quality.
Plus, this device will have a 5 or 8-megapixel front-facing cam. There is still the possibility that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come in multiple variants. The exterior is made of glass and metal for increased durability and a Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
It is worth mentioning that this model will most likely have a generous 5.7-inch QHD display, so it will probably have at least a 3300 mAh battery. Other additional features include a Type-C USB port for a quick charging time of just an hour and a half, while users will also be able to transfer data very fast.
Under the hood, the Mi Note 2 will have a Quad-Core 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor backed by 6GB of RAM and an internal storage of minimum 32GB, which can be expanded with a microSD card.
