On Monday night, three fireballs became visible on the skyin United States and Japan. Two of them were viewed in United States while the remaining one in Japan. The American Meteor Society reported that they received more than 300 eyewitness reports of the intense fireball.
Astronomers told that the fireball appeared in Japan was from a meteor called bolide. Several Observatories in Western Japan received various calls on Monday, telling that the intense light was passing across the sky. These Observatories includes Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Ehime.
The researchers suggested that, “When a bolide gets burned in the atmosphere of Earth, it creates a fireball of apparent magnitude -14 or even brighter. This fireball can be more intense than the full moon’s light.”
Experts also reported that those fragments which could survive the earth’s atmosphere might have fallen in to the sea. Moreover the exOperts also reported that out of the meteors seen in USA, one was a real meteor while the other was just the nighttime publicity stunt.
This meteor could be seen in 11 states of United States. These included Georgia and North Caroline to Maryland and up to the western parts of Ohio.
As per Witness Steve Sobel, “I looked up and I just saw this bright light. With the naked eye you could see fragments coming off the back of it like it were something burning up and the other light that appeared due to a night stunt was a bright white and yellow object that was slowly crossing the sky in the early evening. Three skydivers, members of the Red Bull Air Force performed this stunt”.
