An 18-year-old girl was arrested and charged with murder after she hammered her father to death. The victim often fat-shamed the teenagers, authorities declared. Court records revealed that the girl was sent to rehab after she stabbed her friend. She was 13 at that time.
Michigan Teen Had a Tense Relationship with Her Biological Father
On the 14th of May, Mt. Morris Township police arrested 18-year-old Ameera Corena Stokes, a Muncie resident, and charged her with one count of first-degree murder.
Based on the police report, the girl used a hammer and a knife to murder Donald Stokes, her 53-year-old biological father.
Gretchen L. Brasher, Ameera’s mother, told the authorities that the teen always had a tense relationship with her father.
According to the police report, Ameera had a slight weight issue since she was a child. Donald, her father, would often humiliate the teen by making remarks on her belly.
Brasher confirmed that her husband verbally abused the Michigan teen on a daily basis.
On the day of Donald’s death, the two argued about Ameera’s diet. The teen’s mother declared that the man would often offer Ameera a fruit for dessert whereas the rest of family would indulge in sweets.
Allegedly, the Michigan teen lunged at her father and hit him repeatedly in the head with a hammer. She also stabbed Donald several times in the chest with a kitchen knife.
Conclusion
Brasher contacted the authorities after she found Donald lying on the floor. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Stokes was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. She was later processed and taken to the Genesee County Jail.
Ameera’s mother revealed that this wasn’t the first time the Michigan teen attacked someone. Mt. Morris Township Police confirm that Stokes was enrolled in a rehabilitation program in 2013 after she stabbed her friend.
