On Wednesday, Terrelle Johnson, a 29-year-old Mississippi man, appeared in court to answer for the slaying of his 51-year-old mother. Johnson has been taken into custody on the 6th of June after the law enforcement officers found the decapitated body of the man’s mother.
Mississippi Man Used Teeth and Butter Knife to Sever Woman’s Head
Captain Ray Boggs, a member of the Stone County Sheriff’s Office and one of the lawmen who testified during Johnson’s trial, declared that he had been contacted by Sherry Johnson’s family.
According to Captain Boggs, some of the woman’s family members contacted the Sheriff’s Office as the woman had not been seen for several days. More than that, each time they’ve attempted to ring Johnson’s cell, Terrelle, her son, would answer, telling them that the woman was on a cruise.
On the 6th of June, Boggs and several deputies went to Johnson’s house to inquire about Sherry’s. Allegedly, when Boggs and the lawmen approached Johnson’s home, the man went outside to tell them that his mother’s fine.
Unconvinced, Boggs insisted on entering the house to see for himself. According to Captain Boggs’ testimony, upon entering the home, he saw blood stains on the walls and floor. The search led them to the woman’s bedroom, where Boggs found a significant amount of blood on the floor.
After being confronted, the man confessed to murdering his mother and dragging her body to the backyard. Sheryll’s decapitated body was found dumped in the yard. Her head was roughly 15 feet away from the body.
Conclusion
During questioning, the Mississippi man told the authorities that he killed his mother during an argument over credit cards. He said that after that, things got out of control.
The coroner report indicates that the man used a butter knife, his teeth, and bare hands to behead his mother.
