The gaming world is set on revamping the oldies but goldies as Mortal Kombat announces XL edition of the game. Children these days are growing up with Mortal Kombat, Star Wars, Doom and Super Mario, sound familiar? If you also went to the latest Jurassic Park movie you are clearly a nostalgic, and the new XL edition for Mortal Kombat is exactly what you were waiting for.
The new edition comes packed with surprises for the players
The new edition will feature the basic game, the two Kombat Packs (one of which was already released and the other is something out of a horror movie, literally, because the Xenomorph DLC features characters from Alien and Predator, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and John Cena).
Mortal Kombat announces XL edition on the 1st of May this year. It will be available for Xbox One and PS4. This comes rather early after the 2015 release of the Mortal Kombat X which hit the top sales last year and featured impressive new additions to the last Mortal Kombat video game.
Prepare to face a fight in the Outworld realm between Scorpion and … Leatherface?
As Mortal Kombat announces XL edition, fans are awaiting the new DLC’s that will bring new interesting features and characters to the game. Ever played a classic Scorpion- Sub Zero battle and thought how the tiny Alien that emerged from the Alien’s mouth could totally kick Scorpion’s can? Well, you can now find out if the tiny scorpions from Scorpion’s hands are a match for the tiny mouth Alien because the New DLC brings to focus characters from different storylines.
It’s true that the action from Mortal Kombat takes places in a sort of parallel Universe, and we know people can travel among the realms, so the idea that Aliens and Predators will challenge Sub-Zero and Scorpion is not that farfetched.
As it can be observed in the trailer, the famous out of this world beings are not the only special appearances from the new XL edition. It seems that the enhanced beings will face horror stars like Leatherface, the sadistic criminal from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jason, and the Terminator.
From the glimpses of the teaser, trailer players can also recognize John Cena and Ezio from Assasin’s Creed. There is no doubt that the fights in this DLC will be of epic proportions.
