New Apple IOs 9 will block ads and that’s not all. Apple IOs 9 will allow you to do this on an IPad as well, according to the Worldwide Developers Conference that took place recently. You will be able to do this from its Safari internet browser due to the special upgrade feature that will undoubtedly become available this year, in the fall.
Senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi stated at the conference that users will finally be able to enjoy this feature. Its absence, in the past, lead to numerous complaints about how difficult it was to browse the internet uninterrupted by pesky ads and commercial that people had absolutely no intention of visualizing.
And downloading these extensions will surely help. Although lots of online publishing companies probably needed those ads, Apple needs to have as its main priority the welfare of its customers and their preferences. Also, there are some commercial reasons as well.
However, Fairfax Digital chief executive Jack Matthews strongly believes that this has been bad move for the giant company, because advertising holds some quintessential importance here. So Apple immediately communicated its intentions in a public note.
Tim Cook spoke on its behalf about their move and it was subtly understood that it was a measure taken in order to differentiate themselves from their main competitors, Facebook and Google which have a lot of advertising that is specifically targeted at in relation to users’ past preferences. And they made a fortune out of it, roughly somewhere around 15 billion $ only in the past year.
So Apple now has to come up with something new, namely its News App that will circulate news articles and in time, hopefully, diminish the effect of its latest big move by activating the new and shiny iAd.
iAd will feature special ads and it is expected that Apple will have some considerable gain as a consequence of launching new app. The media analyst Steve Allen supports their move, stating that news and advertising are two driving forces in this digital field and people will pay a lot of money to their ads featured there.
