Although Samsung Galaxy S8 hasn’t been announced yet, rumor has it that the company plans to make significant hardware changes. This is not a surprise if we think about the exploding batteries of the Note 7, which scared many customers.
Galaxy S8 Specifications
This model will sport a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display backed by a 1440 x 2560-pixel resolution, meaning that this screen will most likely be the best one ever manufactured.
It is worth mentioning that home button might be removed or replaced with a fingerprint sensor for added security. Also, there is the chance that the company won’t retain the power button. Instead, it will most likely be replaced with another sensor.
Galaxy S8 will probably come with 3-coil wireless charging to take user experience to the next level. It means that the device would charge faster within a much wider area. Regarding its power source, this device will be fuelled by a non-removable Li-Ion battery of at least 4000 mAh.
Also, it will be available in Single and Dual SIM models. Analysts expect that there will be two variants, one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, while the other will feature 64GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which will most likely be expanded to 256GB thanks to the microSD card slot.
For additional durability, the Galaxy S8 will probably feature a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This device will run Android OS v7.0 Nougat. Under the hood, it will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 Exynos 8895 octa-core chipset.
Regarding camera options, the Galaxy S8 will come with an 8-megapixel front facing cam and a dual 12-megapixel main shooter with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, OIS, Panorama, Auto HDR, smile detection, touch focus, and geo-tagging.
However, the most important feature will be the simultaneous 9MP image and 4K video recording. Besides the fingerprint scanner, this device will have an iris, heart rate, compass, and proximity scanner as well.
Last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport many appealing hues such as Pink Gold, Silver, Gold, White, and Black. It is not known yet whether the Blue Coral hue will also be added to the list. Until now, it is available only on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
