The 2016 elections bring novelty with each step of the process. They featured a very colorful sample of candidates during the primaries, and now, with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton being the official candidates for the Republican, respectively Democrat party, the race has become exponentially more interesting. However, the current president, Barrack Obama is not happy about Trump’s candidacy, and he isn’t trying to hide his dissatisfaction, either.
Obama Is Not Happy About Trump’s Candidacy, And He Makes Sure His Opinion is Heard
Every time President Obama has the chance to mention or discuss the official GOP presidential candidate; he makes sure that the audience is aware of his dissatisfaction on the subject.
Barack Obama is known for his humorous speeches, his natural oratory skills being part of his charming personality. When the situation allows, he inserts an anecdote, or two, winning over an already infatuated crowd. However, in the last few months, whenever a pleasantry was slipped into a speech, it referred to The Donald.
It Started Out As a Joke
One example, in this case, is the final speech the president gave at this year’s Correspondent’s Dinner.
“Guests were asked if they wanted steak or fish, but instead, they wrote down Paul Ryan,”
The president said, referring to Trump and former competitor Ted Cruz. He continued by mocking the Republican candidate saying that he’s probably at home eating a Trump Stake and tweeting insults to Angela Merkel, mentioning that he is baffled that the businessman missed an opportunity to show himself in front of so many reporters.
Obama Is Openly Stating His Opinion on the Inadequacy of the GOP Nominee
On a more recent note, Obama openly declared that he believes that Donald Trump is unfit for presidency.
“I think the Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president. I said so last week, and he keeps on proving it. The notion that he would attack a gold star family that made such extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of our country. The fact that he doesn’t appear to have basic knowledge on our critical issues in Europe, in the Middle East, in Asia, means that he is woefully unprepared to do this job.”
In other speeches, Barrack Obama stated that Donald Trump doesn’t have the understanding, the preparation to get things right and not provoke World War 3.
In the couple of months that passed since the jovial speech at the Correspondent’s Dinner, the president went from humorous remarks over The Donald, to serious allegations that look like a desperate attempt to wake the American people, make them see that, in his opinion, the GOP candidate is unfit for presidency from every point of view.
President Obama is not happy with the GOP nominee, his opinion being clearly stated. What do you think about his attitude?
