Last week, John Kovach Jr., an Ohio patrolman, has been fired after a police-conducted investigation uncovered that the man used his position to pull over her daughter and arrest her boyfriend. The woman confronted her father about using his badge and uniform to intimidate her.
Ohio Patrolman Told Daughter’s Boyfriend That He’s Going to Come Up with a Charge
According to the summary of the internal investigation, on the 18th of April 2018, the Ohio patrolman ordered the driver of a silver car to pull over. Interestingly enough, Kovach failed to announce the dispatch about the traffic stop.
Inside the car were 18-year-old Katlyn Kovach, the patrolman’s daughter, her boyfriend, later identified as 18-year-old Makai Coleman, and one of Kovach’s friends. All this time, the dashcam on Kovach’s patrol cruiser was running.
The internal investigation revealed that the Ohio patrolman had no clue that his daughter would be inside the vehicle.
After Coleman stopped the vehicle, Kovach allegedly ordered him out of the car. He also told his daughter’s boyfriend that he’s going to prison.
When the man asked Kovach why he was pulled over, the patrolman told him to get in his police cruiser. Once inside, the law enforcement officer allegedly told Kovach that he would make up a charge.
Apparently, the entire scene had been witnessed by Kaitlyn’s mother who called 911 as soon as she saw her husband pull over Coleman’s car.
Conclusion
The internal investigation also revealed that Kaitlyn and the Ohio patrolman had an off-cam argument.
Kaitlyn told his father that he should not use his badge and uniform to intimidate her and Coleman just because he does not approve of their relationship.
Before taking her boyfriend into custody, Kaitlyn demanded to hear a legal reason for detaining Coleman.
