Samsung’s Gear VR virtual reality headset brand is on course to releasing its Innovator edition which is a special rebooted edition that would easily pair up with the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in order to deliver absolute crisp and real experience to loyal Samsung customers that will delve them into the world of virtual reality.
The price tag is not that much considering one has to pay only $200 to get their hands on the Gear VR if they have already bought the $700 Note 4. But in order to have the game controller, it would cost an extra $250. Putting the game controller aside, it still is a great offer for $200 especially if one owns a Note 4.
This is an innovator edition and might not be appealing to the general public because it still is in early days and this thing is really meant for the developers and enthusiasts who want to try and build exciting stuff for it, especially keeping virtual reality in mind.
Even though Samsung provides the most exuberant displays in the market, but Oculus are the real brains behind the headset. John Carmack from Oculus states:” We are not judging success on this with the volume of sales. It’s a product for developers right now. We are trying to get this into the hands of the right people.”
The Samsung Gear VR currently provides 20 apps to be explored as of now, which also goes along with its theme. But Samsung still has to put a lot of technical work in its Innovator edition so that it might be compatible with other phones as well.
