Rumour has it that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be a powerful competitor to the Apple products starting from 2017. Also, this 2-in-1 PC Tablet will most likely have a 4K display, a USB-C charger, and a Surface Rechargeable Pen. Plus, the camera is expected to outdo the one in iPad Pro 2.
Surface Pro 5 Specifications
Besides the 4K display, the latest Microsoft device is expected to be lighter and to feature a better processor than the new MacBook Pro 2016. In addition, the Pro 5 will most likely be much thinner than the Surface Pro 4.
Thanks to the USB-C charger, users will not only be able to charge the device faster but also to transfer data at an incredible speed. Also, the camera promises to be the best on the market. More precisely, the Surface Pro 5 will come with a 16-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel front-facing cam for nice selfies, while both cameras will support a 4k display.
By comparison, the iPad Pro 2 is expected to feature a 12-megapixel True Tone rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie cam. However, it will also be able to record 4K videos. Regarding software, the new Pro 5 is rumored to run on the latest RedStone OS whereas the iPad Pro 2 will use the iOS 10.
Under the hood, the Surface Pro 5 will probably function on a sixth-gen Skylake chip and a powerful Intel Kaby Lake processor, while the iPad Pro 2 is expected to be equipped with the A10X chipset. The Kaby Lake is the fastest and newest chipset which the company correctly has in its stock.
The New Surface Pen
As previously mentioned, this latest stylus will be backed by a rechargeable battery and wireless charging through a magnetic attachment connected to the device. There is also the chance that Microsoft will come with a magnetic dock for the rechargeable Surface Pen.
Even if it is not clear yet if the MacBook Pro 2016 will feature a stylus as well, it will certainly have high-quality specifications hard to surpass by any other brands on the market. Only after the release will the analysts find out whether the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be thinner and lighter than MacBook Pro 2016 and iPad Pro 2.
