Researchers of University of Michigan stated that these electrically activated muscles possess the ability to automatically rewire an electronic device.
Michael Solomon, the co-author of the report informed that these microbots can easily transferred inside the human body in order to fight with the deadly diseases. They can effortlessly get access to the locations which were earlier considered as unreachable. Nevertheless, these microbots are extremely useful for bomb disposable squad since it can quickly travel inside the wires of a bomb.
Furthermore, Solomon notified that the most difficult task was to make completely portable microbots. These robots are even smaller than the size of a grain; therefore they required traveling separately with the help of a force.
The experts proposed that muscles are formed from a special kind of chain which gathered on their own. They utilized a spherical element developed form a plastic material known as Polystyrene. It is an inexpensive and hard plastic constituent of Styrofoam.
These particles are similar to the shape of a rice grain that is 3 microns long a d 0.6 microns wide. Even an ordinary human hair is considered as a wider object as compared to these microbots.
Afterwards, the researchers colored these microbots in gold to use them as a station for electric current. The microbots form a chain when they are dipped in highly concentrated salt water. The concentrated salt water produces a special kind of attractive force in them.
