First Cyberpunk 2077 in-game teaser trailer at E3 2018.
It’s happening, folks, it really is happening! During this year’s E3, CD Projekt Red, the mastermind behind the critically-acclaimed Witcher franchise, has unveiled the much-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 game trailer. Needless to say, the audience exploded with joy knowing that the game’s still alive and kicking.
What to Expect from Cyberpunk 2077?
Unfortunately, as it happens with all CD Projekt Red’s teasers, the latest in-game trailer left us with more questions than answers. Not that the presentation trailer was chattier, but this one really managed to stir the spirits.
As you know, the first trailer leaked by CD Projekt Red painted a rather uncanny picture – the cybernetically-enhanced chick standing there motionless, while a bullet bounces off her face, and the dude with the strange visor standing behind her with his gun pointing at the chick.
The 2-minute clip could pass as boring if not for the background and for the Bladerunner vibe it gives. Yes, from what we can tell, Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be an eclectic blend of Witcher-type storytelling, Bladerunner, Judge Dredd, and perhaps something from Demolition Man.
So far, all we know for sure is that the game could be months away from hitting the shelves. Story-wise, a couple of months ago, CD Projekt Red mentioned something about the plot taking place in Night City, a dystopian megalopolis, where cybernetic implants are more valuable than money, drugs or human lives.
Interestingly enough, it appears that the character’s progression is based on the number of implants you find, steal or even kill for. Presumably, there’s an implant out there that helps you understand what other NPCs want from you.
Conclusion
Several CD Projekt Red fans argued that the so-called language implant could work in the same manner as the translation matrixes from No Man’s Sky.
And no, we don’t know if the main character will run into Ciri, but chances are that we will find out soon enough.
