The Twitter developer conference will be returning in October and it will take place in San Francisco. The conference is called Flight and will be held on October 21 in California at the Bill Graham Civic Center.
As a follow-up to last year’s conference, the Twitter Flight 2015 developer conference will offer more technical sessions that will cover the mobile platform called Fabric and the social data provider named Gnip. There will also be shorter sessions with numerous engineers as well as a tour of the tools and the development process of the company. People who are interested in the event may sign up online in order to receive updates regarding the release of the Flight invitations.
Prashant Sridharan, the global director and platform relations wrote earlier in a blog post that the platform has grown significantly in the last year. He added that they open sourced TwitterKit and Digits earlier this year, gave the people a lot more flexibility by making Digits its own Kit, shipped out Crashlytics 3.0 and a lot more.
The microblogging website announced earlier this week the Answers Events official release. This serves as an analytics event-tracking function within the Crashlytics Kit. Answers Events made its official debut on Wednesday, following an extensive period of testing with the developers behind it. The free service offers an overview of the critical performance metrics inside an app, an image of the overall health of the app, with the power to dig deep inside the data in order to get more details.
Sridharan said that they plan to offer a significant platform in order to help people build extraordinary business.
The Fabric platform developed by Twitter has also seen some major results. After only nine months since its release, the platform is at the current time installed on over 1 billion Android and iOS devices. It was initially announced inside the last edition of the Twitter developer conference. The development kit for applications deals with frequent challenges faced by developers, such as identity, revenue, distribution and stability.
Recently Twitter began testing numerous new things such as directly selling items on the website and redesigned the platform to make it a lot more accessible to newbie users. However, this has been quite a stressful year for the company, seeing how they are currently looking for a new CEO as Dick Costolo left the company this month. Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter is currently the interim chief until the company will find a replacement for Costolo.
