NASA recently announced that Venus will collide with Jupiter in a special encounter that has already began, as the two planets are already 10 degrees close to each other.
The two planets have already started coming closer together this month and the event is expected to take place in at the end of this month. NASA told the public that the astronomical event will be visible to the naked eye. Until then, there will be other spectacular cosmic events as well. The two bright planets will form a sort of a triangle and the third party will be the moon.
For those who own a telescope, it certainly is an event that should not be missed. The event will last a few days.
In astrology, Venus represents the concepts of love and beauty. However, in reality the planet is not that beautiful at all. It has terrible temperatures of up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit, that is 482 degrees Celsius, and clouds made of sulfuric acid. These clouds actually reflects so well that Venus has become the brightest planet of all.
Jupiter, who is considered to be the king of all the planets and is the biggest one of all, is deemed in astrology the Big Benefactor, the planet of luck. Jupiter is to be found at a 6 units astronomical distance from Earth. One astronomical unit represents the distance between Earth and the Sun. Thus, the complete distance to it is of approximately 93 million miles.
Jupiter has no solid surface, it is a planet solely formed out of gases such as helium and hydrogen and many icy oceans. Its size is 2.5 times bigger than all the planets of our solar system, making it truly a giant planet. It is supposed that the core of the planet is formed out of metallic hydrogen and it has a magnetic field that is 14 times stronger that oh the Earth.
As a bonus for astronomy fans, Jupiter’s four moons will be visible as well, Europa, Callisto, Io and Ganymede. NASA advises us that this will be an event that absolutely should not be missed.
