This year’s show provided by the Asociation of Consumer Technology was filled with state-of-the-art technological gizmos. Among all of them, the Withings Go is the affordable must-have activity tracker of the year.
Withings has revealed two new devices that will help people around the world monitor their daily activities at a low cost and a pretty and colorful design, the Withings Go and the Withings Thermo. Both indispensable gadgets once you hear what they can do.
Withings Go
Even though competition like the Fossil Misfit Ray may come knocking, the Withings Go takes first place when it comes to affordable and smart fitness accessories. The starting price being of only $69.95. Another pro argument in the affordability category is the lifetime of the battery which is promised to last up to 8 months without replacing.
The E-ink display technology which mimics the surface of a piece of paper is incorporated in the new multiscreen of the tracker. And if the design is to sporty for your outfit, the tracker can be worn at the keychain or at the belt. It will keep monitoring the activity with no problems at all.
The device can be used for monitoring the number of steps the wearer makes, or the number of miles that were ran, or cycled. It is also waterproof, so it can be used in a swimming pool. But it doesn’t only track distance, or time. It can also measure the calories that were burned in certain activities, and distinguish the different patterns of light and deep sleeping.
And as a bonus, the display can turn from a monitor that displays the percentage of the physical goals set for the day, to an analog watch.
Withings Thermo
The new thermometer that Withings is pitching is a much-awaited relief. Far from its ancestors, that needed to be inserted in various regions of the body, this gadget is more elegant and hygienic.
Functioning with the help of an array that uses infrared technology, the Withings Thermo can measure the temperature of an individual just by pointing it in the area of the temple. The temperature measurements are colour-coded. Also, there is an app that allows the owner to store data from the Withings Thermo for up to 2 years.
The conclusion is simple. The CES 2016 has revealed that the Withings Go is the affordable must-have activity tracker of the year, and the Withings Thermo is the thermometer all terrified children and concerned mothers have been waiting for.
