Bethesda is going through a real crisis right now, because Fallout 4 gameplay has been leaked online, news reports show.
The leakage has been massive. Tons of videos and pictures made their way around the world in the online environment today. If you want to know what they are, here it is, but we must put a SPOILER ALERT sign before that. No big spoilers about the ending have been revealed, especially if you know and have watched the official videos released, however many people will want to play the game with a fresh start, that’s the reason of the *spoiler alert”.
So, twenty minutes of video have been released, divided into four five minute shorts. Two of them are from the beginning of the game and two from later on and you can find them all online, if you so desire. Many screenshots were spilled on the internet as well, mostly of post-apocalyptic Boston and they do have some spoilers in them, such as new weapons the game introduces. Again, these are available online if you simply cannot wait.
What’s important to mention here is that they were all confirmed to be real by Pete Hines, the Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda. He believes, as he tweeted, that someone might have swiped a copy or broken the street date, but that he isn’t sure what happened. However, given the fact that he now knows about the whole incident, the pictures and videos are probably not going to last a lot on the internet.
Fallout was first released in 1997. It’s a role-playing video game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic retro-futuristic environment. All the action happens after a global nuclear war, in an alternate history timeline, somewhere at the half of the 22nd century.
The protagonist of the game needs to find the Water Chip in order to save his fellow dwellers in his shelter from water shortage. He lives in a shelter known as one of the Vaults.
Fallout is thought by many to be a successor of the role-playing video game called Wasteland, which appeared in 1988. It was, of course, very well received by both critics and fans and spurred several sequels as well as spin-offs, which are now known as the Fallout series.
Fallout 4 will be released in just a few days, on Tuesday, November 10th. It will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
