Last week, the authorities arrested two Florida kids, ages 12 and 14, for trying to steal the pizza delivery man’s car after placing a fake order. Cops said that their plan was thwarted by the fact that they did not know how to drive a car with manual transmission.
Florida Kids Found on Abandoned Railway
On Friday night, the Florida authorities were summoned to a house by Isaac Javier Ortez, a Domino’s pizza delivery man who told the emergency dispatcher that two individuals tried to steal the company’s car.
After arriving at the specified address, the authorities located and arrested 12-year-old Miguel Garcia and 14-year-old Rojelio Sebastian.
According to Ortez’s testimony, he was due to deliver a pie to one of the houses. When he arrived at the location and rang the doorbell, a person came and told him that no one in the house ordered from Domino’s.
The man turned away only to find Sebastian and Garcia behind the wheel of the pizza delivery car, desperately trying to start the engine and drive away.
Ortez told the authorities that the Florida Kids had trouble operating the car as it has a manual transmission. Before fleeing the scene, Garcia and his friend managed to drive a couple of meters in reverse before giving up.
Later that evening, Sebastian and Garcia were found by the sheriff’s deputies hanging near an abandoned railway. The two were placed in custody and charged with grand theft auto and having burglary tools in their possession.
Conclusion
Garcia might also face a drug possession charge, as the police officers found a meth pipe in his pocket.
According to the authorities, Garcia managed to get himself into hot water last year, in November, after he was caught driving his mother’s car without a license.
