Law Enforcement Officers recently arrested a 48-year-old Foxborough electrician after a day center employee discovered a camera hidden inside an adult toilet. The suspect was released the same day after posting bail.
Foxborough Electrician Installed Surveillance Devices in Every Adult Bathroom
On Friday, at around 2:11 p.m., a Learning Center employee called the authorities after discovering a suspicious object in one of the bathrooms.
Upon arrival, Foxborough law enforcement officers removed a pen-like device, which was carefully placed in a corner.
After inspecting the device, police officers determined that it was a surveillance device.
A sweep of the building revealed more device, each placed strategically in the adult-only bathrooms.
Several hours later, the authorities arrested Darin McNeil, a 48-year-old Taunton electrician.
Foxborough Police positively identified McNeil as the person who installed the camera since several devices were found on him.
As a result, the electrician was charged with sexual surveillance, possessing a device for wiretap, and unlawful wiretap.
McNeil was released from prison later that day after he posted his $2,500. In addition, the Foxborough electrician was ordered to stay away from children and staff members.
During his questioning, McNeil confessed to having installed the devices in the adult-only bathrooms but didn’t say why.
After the incident, Foxborough Police Department commended Learning Center’s staff.
According to the statement, the employee who called the authorities after finding the devices belongs to the “see something, say something” species.
As far as the authorities could tell, there were no more wiretapping devices in the day-care center.
The suspect was released after posting bail because he doesn’t pose a threat.
The Foxborough day-care center incident is hardly isolated.
At the beginning of May, a Toronto Starbucks customer alerted the authorities after she discovered a hidden wiretapping device in the women’s restroom.
