The recent reports revealed, Tom Vilsack (Secretary of Agriculture) and John Kerry (Secretary of State) declares the launch of Global Alliance for Climate-smart Agriculture. The officials state that, this Alliance is made to encourage better international commitment on ways agriculture could facilitate to diminish the impact of climate change.
Producers in United States and around the World are feeling the impact of climate change by practicing production challenges from extensive deficiency, harsh flooding, stronger storms, and new pest’s diseases, said by Vilsack. He further stated that, the Alliance provides the chance to collaboratively share knowledge, make investments and build up policies that will permit all producers to adapt to climate change and to moderate its consequences.
Long-term global food security depends on us acting together now. The Alliance will include contribution from governments, businesses, civil society groups and other groups around the world.
