The most common Indian spice turmeric enhanced the brain function and experts found that the spice turmeric stimulated the development of neural stem cells in rats, though this is a long way from a successful trauma treatment for humans.

A latest report available in the journal Stem Cell Research & Technology converses what happened when specialists covered neural stem cells with turmeric in a Petri dish, the neural stem cells grew by 80 percent improved efficiency when compared to examinations of normal stem cells with no changing chemicals so this means turmeric can also beat dementia.

This test was held in a laboratory and scientist observed the neural stem cells results of the effect of a turmeric extract in rats. Numerous parts of the brain are home to these cells, which can convert into three special types of cells should the body call for it.

On the other hand, this study is in the initial stages and there are different issues to be thought when contemplating the possibility of any trials in humans, for example the increased rate of growth and differentiation of NSCs carries some risk of brain health but hopefully the possibility of risk will not effect on the human brain.

Neural stem cells have a little capability to redevelop brain cells after damage, although the researchers hope these conclusions may pave the way towards new healing methods for degenerative brain conditions, this is likely to be a long way off.

But the test shows the effective chemical found in turmeric extract so the hope is that by increasing the quantity of NSCs, they could be more helpful in repairing damage in these conditions.

About Cliff Jenkins Scott

Cliff likes to describe himself as made for the hard road. Freelancing is taking off across the world. And yet, valuable opportunities are hard to find he thinks, particularly when it comes to writing. After graduating with an MA degree in Communication as a major and Technology and Writing as minors, Cliff decided to give his own website hosting creative writing a boost and engage in an overwhelming number of projects, all of them focused on writing. He didn’t look for a quick burnout, but his eagerness to learn as much as possible as rapidly as possible kept him going.
