
On Monday, the Sauk Rapids police were summoned to the Pleasantview Elementary School after an 8-year-old boy attacked three of his classmates with a kitchen knife. No one was severely injured during the incident but the students needed a couple of stitches. The Minnesota elementary school student was arrested and released later that day.
Minnesota Elementary School Student Might Have Been Bullied, Authorities Claimed
On Monday morning, at around 7:00 a.m., the Pleasantview Elementary School contacted the Sauk Rapids police after three students were attacked in the bus station. All three male students were on their way to classes when they were slashed by their 8-year-old classmate.
The child was taken into custody but released later that day. Sauk Rapids police declared that they are not going to press charges, the child needing counseling and guidance rather than jail.
Based on the police report and testimonies, the incident occurred at 7:15 a.m. in the elementary school’s bus stop. The 8-year-old Minnesota elementary school student, who was not named, was talking to three of his classmate, ages 13,9, and 8 when he became verbally aggressive.
One of the victims told the authorities that their classmate simply puts down the backpack he was carrying, leaned over, unzipped one of the compartments from where he pulled a kitchen knife. Without any warning, the Minnesota elementary school student began slashing his classmates.
Conclusion
A teacher who witnessed the incident managed to grab the attacker’s knife before calling the authorities. Once the police arrived, the assailant was in the school counselor’s office while the victims received medical care in the nurse’s office. They were later transferred to the hospital where they’ve received treatment for non-life-threatening stab injuries.
Doctors described their wound as superficial. The students received stitches and were later discharged. As for the 8-year-old Minnesota student, he was arrested but later allowed to return home.
