
New Jersey authorities recently arrested an individual involved in a rather unsavory road rage incident. According to the officials, the man ordered his dog to attack the law enforcement officer while he kept behind, swinging an ax in the air. At least two officers were wound during the suspects’ takedown.
Road Rage Madman Swings Axe at Police Officers
According to the New Jersey Police Department, the events leading to the arrest of a violent suspect and his pet pit bull started to unfold soon after someone dialed 911 to report a road accident. Upon arriving at the scene, the authorities discovered a man throwing a fit in his vehicle.
Upon seeing the officers approaching his vehicle, the Newark man go out of his vehicle, armed with a rather large ax. As the officers drew closer, the man kept shouting at them, while swinging his ax in the air.
To show them that he really means business, the individual ordered his pit bull to attack the officers. Following the incident, the authorities managed to subdue the ax-swinging individual and to lock the dog inside the police’s car.
Baffling enough, even though the officer managed to escape without a scratch after the hound attack, the dog’s owner decided that it’s up to him to finish the job. And so, the suspect biting the police officers while they were trying to subdue him.
Unfortunately, the two police officers involved in the scuffled had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for severe man-bites. As for the road rage ax-swinging madman, he was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and will undergo a psychiatric test to determine if he’s fit for trial.
Meanwhile, the dog has been taking to the local animal shelter, still waiting for his owner to come an pick him up.
