Great news for all PC game fans who wanted to take out the Nintendo Switch for a spin. In a recent social media post, the team behind the 3DS emulator has announced that its members are diligently working on a functional Nintendo Switch emulator for PC.
Nintendo Switch Emulator – A Dream Come True
Although the idea of a completely functional Nintendo Switch emulator is not something new under the sun, it would appear that Citra Emu is on the right track this time. Code-named yuzu, the Nintendo Switch emulator currently in the works should behave pretty much like its console counterpart.
Bordering on illegal, the company carries on, bringing us that little piece of heaven created by the guys from Nintendo. And to show that they really mean business this time, the team also the picture of one of the games PC users will be able to enjoy – Space game.
As far as timelines are concerned, unfortunately, we can’t say for sure when the final edit of the Nintendo Switch emulator for PC will come out. All we know for sure is that the team is busy hacking away through thousands of code lines, but it’s still comforting to know that they haven’t abandoned the project.
What’s even more awesome is that the Citra Emu team didn’t lose time waiting around for Nintendo. Even if the console was launched year in March and it usually takes some time, even years, to come up with a stable PC port, the guys have already laid the first bricks in what could be the next big thing after CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is in the works.
Conclusion
For now, the only thing we can do is to wait around some more until we hear from the team.
