Four people killed and one injured during the recent shootout that took place at a Pennsylvania car wash. Tim Smith, the shooter, is believed to have turned the firearm on himself after the incident. The man is currently at the hospital on life support.
Pennsylvania Car Wash Gunman Obsessed by a Woman
According to the Pennsylvania law enforcement authorities, the event that led to the tragedy in which four people, including a pregnant woman, were killed began shortly after 25-year-old Chelsie Cline decided to end her relationship with Tim Smith.
However, Sierra Kolarik, Chelsie’s half-sister, told the authorities that Chelsie and Tim’s relationship did not end there, the man developing an obsession towards the woman. Having learned that Chelsie might be at Saltlick Township car wash, Smith emptied his weapon’s locker and went to exert his revenge.
According to the police report, as soon as the Pennsylvania car wash gunman saw Cline he opened fire. During the assault, another car pulled in, drove by William Porterfield. Without hesitation, Smith directed his gun barrage towards the car, killing William Porterfield and two other occupants, Courtney Snyder and Seth Cline.
Widow Jenna Porterfield declared that Chelsie spent the weekend with her and William, helping them get over some marriage issues. The authorities who arrived at the scene found Tim Smith critically injured and transported him to the hospital for emergency surgery.
During the event, another woman riding a pickup truck sustained minor injuries. The police officials believe that the Pennsylvania car wash gunman must have turned the weapon on himself after shooting his victims as no police officer returned fire.
At the moment, Smith is on life support. The doctors declared that Smith has minimal chances of survival. During the attack, the gunman fired at least 30 shots.
