National Weather Service predicts that a coastal storm is expected to hit numerous major cities of the Northeast of the United States.
As per the Friday’s weather forecast, Southern Pennsylvania is presently facing heavy frozen rain. On the other hand, Washington D.C and West Virginia was experiencing snow fall. It was calculated that this combination of different weather is the initial taste of winter season.
The government weather service has released a Winter Weather Advisory for Somerset counties and Cambria. The advisory informs that huge amount of snowfall would soon hit the Southern New England. The entire region of Gettysburg and Johnstown would probably get 5 to 8 inches of snow. The area covers West Virgina and Maryland as well.
Therefore, The Maryland State Highway Administration warned motorists about the travel risks.
The storm has moved from northeast zone. Hence, it is predicted that snow would drop 2-4 inches in Philadelphia.
Bill Simpson, a weather service meteorologist in Taunton talked about the current weather condition of the country. He states that it is definitely a rare kind of weather condition. Luckily, it is happening on weekend otherwise it would have affected the lives of a large number of people. People would have face difficulties in driving due to freezing weather.
