
A seemingly entertaining night on the town ended abruptly for a South Carolina teen and his friends. The individuals were taken into custody on the 6th of June after a teenage girl accused them of rape. Police report suggests that two of the teens wanted to partake in the sexual activities.
South Carolina Teen Met Victim Through Snapchat, Authorities Confirmed
At the beginning of the week, Joshua Allen Hughes, a 16-year-old Myrtle Beach resident, was taken into custody and charged with criminal sexual conduct and misuse of a firearm. According to court documents, the South Carolina teen along with two of his friends stand accused of holding an unnamed teenage girl against her will and sexually assaulting her.
Based on the victim’s testimony, Hughes and she had been in contact long before the sexual assault occurred. Allegedly, on the 6th of June, the South Carolina teen offered to pick her up from home to go on a date. The teenage girl told Hughes over Snapchat that she agreed and texted him the address.
Hughes arrived in his family’s car, accompanied by two male friends. After the girl got in, Hughes drove to his Myrtle Beach house.
Several hours later, Hughes retired to the upstairs bedroom with the girl while his friends remained downstairs. The girl told the police that they’ve kissing for a while before telling Hughes that she doesn’t want to have sex on the first date. However, they ended up doing just that.
According to the woman, while she was having sex with Hughes, his friends started banging on the door, asking him to take turns.
Conclusion
Feeling that this might end badly, the woman picked up her things and attempted to leave. However, she was stopped by Hughes’ friends who pointed their guns at her.
