Twitter collaborated with WAM (Women, Action and the Media) in order to control the internet harassment of women.  The nonprofit organization claimed that online women harassment has increased to a great extent.

Jaclyn Friedman, the leader of WAM informed that men sexually harassed almost 25 percent women online. Nowadays, women experience some really distressing forms of online abuses.

The organization has created a new and effortlessly way for women through which they can report harassment on Twitter. The chief reason behind this step is the harassment case of the daughter of Robin William; Zelda. The daughter has run off the social networking site in the wake of her father’s suicide. Shortly after that incident Twitter declared that it will not tolerate this kind of abuse in future.

Moreover, Friedman stated that there are numerous ways through which man can harass woman. Unfortunately, Twitter fails to hit all of them.

The group creates a form for women so that they can easily report the misogynist or any other kind of harassment. The form will also assist the social networking site to create new methods that can save women from harassment.

The nonprofit organization intends to record the entire data of the harassed women.  The form asks several question related to that man in the form. It includes questions from the past of that woman such as have you ever gone through this before? How many times have you reported this harassment to Twitter?

Moreover, this new form will permit users to report more than one account on Twitter.
