An unusual cloud formation has appeared on the sky in Eastern Victoria resembling more or less to rainbow streak alien spaceship. This unusual formation has been termed as “holepunch clouds”.
Earlier in 1940, when water droplets got frozen into ice crystals, a fall streak hole was formed. These frozen crystals formed the rainbow by refrraction of light.
A rare cloud formation has appeared in the sky over Gippsland in eastern Victoria, and it looks just like a rainbow-streaked alien spaceship.
Researchers have found that these holepunch clouds can occur by themselves but could also stop the freezing process while any aircraft fly through these super cooled clouds.
It happens so due to the air that blows around the aeroplane’s propellor tips. It can cool in to the same area decreasing the surrounding temperature to fall below -40 degrees.
As per the statement of US-based meteorologist Linda Lam, “There are water droplets in the cloud that have yet to freeze, and once they do – when ice crystals are introduced – the water droplet freezes and grows. As it grows, it begins to fall and a hole is left behind.”
Moreover the meteorologist also said that the fall streak hole is a circular gap that can appear in mid to high level clouds.
Further talking about the matter, she also said, “”While the process of fallstreak hole cloud formation is entirely natural, it mimics the formation of jet contrails – no, not chemtrails! – which are the long, thin trails of clouds sometimes produces by an aircraft”.
