Woman Managed to Pass Florida State Prison X-Ray Machine with Plastic Key
Trisha Denlinger, a 48-year-old Florida resident, was taken into custody on Thursday and formally charged with possession and introduction of unlawful articles on Florida State Prison Property.
According to the official police report, Denlinger was visiting her husband who was incarcerated in the facility. Before seeing the inmate, the Florida woman swung by a State Prison shop and bought a chicken sandwich.
After purchasing the sandwich, the woman took it out of its wrapper and microwaved it. Before she took it to her husband, the woman hid a small plastic key, specially designed to unlock handcuffs.
Unfortunately for the woman, the correctional officer tasked with searching all items passed down to inmates during a visit, discovered the object hidden inside the chicken sandwich and notified the prison officials. The woman was taken into custody and charged.
Florida’s Department of Corrections declared that the woman easily managed to get past the metal detector and the X-Ray machine since the object was too small to draw any attention.
The correctional officers who discovered the object declared that the item was specially made to open handcuffs locks.
This isn’t the first time visitors attempt to sneak items into prison, a woman being arrested last month after she tried to introduce drugs tucked inside a Bible’s leather cover.
Conclusion
As for Denlinger, the woman was booked into the Bradford Jail. A judge set her bond at $100,000. The Florida woman is expected in court to answer for one charge of introducing unlawful items in state prison.
